Adding a Local Touch to the World-famous Mille Crêpes

Lady M started out in New York, with its very first 600 square feet cake boutique in New York’s Upper East Side in 2001. Since then, Lady M New York has expanded to 14 stores in the USA, 28 stores in Asia and amassed a following which includes domestic goddess Martha Stewart, to supermodel Linda Evangelista and Japanese fashion designer, Issey Miyake. As the pioneer of the well-loved Mille Crêpes, Lady M’s Signature Mille Crêpes features no less than twenty paper-thin handmade crêpes layered with ethereal light pastry cream, gently caramelized on top until golden. The Mille Crêpe is a combination of French pastry techniques with Japanese etiquette of precision and made with the finest and most premium ingredients from around the world, including UK and France. Lady M chose Singapore for its first debut in Asia with its very first prime duplex storefront located in Orchard Central. To date, there are 5 boutiques across various locations in Singapore, with the newest being Jewel Changi Airport. A new concept is in the pipeline as well.

While Lady M is best known for its evergreen cakes, few people are aware that there are special seasonal flavours every 1 to 2 months All cakes and confectionaries by Lady M are freshly made daily, contrary to the common impression that they are air-flown in from New York. Lady M uses only the premium imported ingredients to ensure that the best quality is served. Additionally, Lady M has its own unique method of ensuring the same consistency in size for each cake before they are released to the boutiques.

Despite her young age, she is extremely passionate about learning. Having worked previously for a few F&B brands, Nassweriwati constantly seeks improvement in her craft, notably her barista skills. She says, “I am pleasantly surprised and honoured and I would like to thank Lady M for the opportunity to attend the SG Barista Training Course.” Nasseriwati believes that the SG Barista Training Course will boost her confidence in creating latte art and increase her knowledge in coffee.
